Droid keeps retrieving old email

Hi All,

I've seen a couple threads similar to this but not exactly like it so I thought I post. My droid seems to retrieve older emails when I delete newer ones. I keep some old emails in each account and whenever I get new spam ones I delete them. Then the equivalent number of older emails pop up as new event though they were already in the inbox.

Is anyone else having this issue?

What type of email account is it? If it's a web-based email like yahoo or gmail I don't know what to tell you but if it's a pop account, just use your computer to remove messages from the server. They'll stay on your computer but won't get pulled down by any other device accessing that account.

Actually I leave them up on the server I don't pull them down to a PC. I am a consultant and need to have the email available when at a client site and I generally don't carry a laptop.

Any ideas as to how to stop it from getting all the read mail... even if it's already on the phone?
