Droid making electric clicking noise

Often while on a call i here a faint, fast paced clicking noise in the background of my calls. It sounds almost electric, Is there anything i can do about this or do i need to get a new phone? Any advice would be awesome!

Probably background noise from the network, its most likely on verizon's end. I believe ive heard it before, also sometimes when I make a call I get an echo of myself.
