I put a super user app (that is the actual name) on the phone, it is not secure according to anti virus. When the anti virus tries to uninstall it, it says not successful. I would like to use the phone for personal business, payments etc.. but I do not want to do this till the phone is secure. I actually don't know what is required to make it safe for that, so this is another question. Help :)

There was a app that I put on after rooting which made my phone crazy. Vernon helped re pot it over the phone.. it got rid of everything except the superuser app. Ilk not good with technical issues. This the process that happened.

Tried to reset.. chose to wipe all data, back to factory settings. It didn't wipe out anything. Had to reprogram social networks and that was it. Superuser must be preventing the total reset. Maybe I should take it to Verizon?

the superuser app only gets installed if you root it. Now the anti virus app is not needed. Apple will get a virus before android. Now if you want to unroot or remove super user just follow this.

open your trusty terminal app
- you should see a $ symbol, now do the following
- su
- now you should see a # symbol
- mount -o rw,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
- rm /system/app/Superuser.apk
- rm /system/bin/su
* rm /system/bin/busybox
- mount -o ro,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
- reboot your phone. Toda, no more root

this is from the tutorial written by Eousporos

super user is root and if you rooted you might not want to take a rooted phone back to verizon because it will void your warranty.

hold up...how did you get super user app on your phone did you root or did you just install the app from the market. By the way the superuser app should not work unless you are rooted any way. Please get rid of that anti virus there are two things verizon needs to stop telling people:
1) is that they need the automatic task killer to save on battery life because that is false
2) That they need an anti virus app to keep from "getting a virus" look if the app have less than three stars or have only 5 comments then dont install it.
