Droid Pro - Unsupported Multimedia Message

I keep getting this "Unsupported Multimedia Message" when, most noticably my brother send me a text. I believe it's because of one of the three scenerios:

1. It's a mass text.
2. It's a picture message.
3. It's sent from an iPhone.

Does anyone have a solution for this? It is driving me crazy not getting texts.

Most likely #3, all my texts from my friends with iPhones show up as MMS. I don't know why but it's pretty dumb...

I have the same problem. The issue occurs when someone sends a text message to multiple people from an iPhone. It finally is driving me nuts. Unfortunately, I can not find a solution to this issue. In fact your post was the only reference I would find to it on the Internet.

My friend recommended downloading the new texting program called "Handcent SMS", but I am skeptical.

I had the same problem and also realized it was showing up when friends sent group texts from iphones. I took advice of previous post and downloaded "Handcent SMS" for free from Android market. You can still use your stock Droid text features or you can pull up the Handcent SMS app if you get this message. It also automically populated the group texts that were previously "unsupported". Give it a try you can always uninstall it, but it seems to be working for me.

Handcent SMS Worked Like A Charm!

Thanks for the suggestion to download Handcent SMS! For months I've been having problems with the "Unsupported Multimedia Message" when I get a text or photo sent from an iPhone to multiple receipients (I have a Droid Pro).

I downloaded Handcent SMS today and can finally see all those messages I've been missing.

The only thing I wish is that it could be running in the background of the current Droid Text system, without having to go in and open Handcent SMS whenever I get this type of email. But that's a minor setback. I'd totally recommend this to anyone who has a Droid with lots of friends who own iPhones.

I want to thank the folks here for this thread...was having this exact issue on my partner's phone and it was making her nuts. I haven't used Handcent since my Palm days, but it was a good program then as well. Thanks!
