droid razr maxx in droid razr maxx hd otter box case

currently i have a droid razr maxx in a otter box defender series case and as you all know the version for our phones has the old rubber version that otter box used, and if you have seen the newer cases by them you will have noticed that it is a much more rigid type of rubber that they are using now. so my question is does anyone know and maybe have pictures of the original droid razr maxx fitting into a droid razr maxx hd defender series case by otter box case, will it work, will all the ports etc. line up?

I have a razr maxx and my wife just got a razr maxx hd. They are very differently sized and the ports are in different places. I can't imagine the cases are interchangeable.
