Droid Razr stuck on "droid" boot. NEED HELP!

Hello everyone, this is my first post here so I want to thank everyone in advance for the help. I've never needed to post here because my questions were always answered by someone else's post. But this time I'm in a whole different boat.

Long story short. Found a Droid razr on Craigslist. Owner mentioned it would power up but stay locked on boot. He sold it cheap to me. I figured I could easily do a hard reset and I would be good. Nope. Not the case.

I attempted a hard reset, razrutility, rdslite and nothing has worked. When flashed using rsdlite, it runs its course and then notifies the phone to reboot and low and behold, the phone still gets stuck on boot where it says "Droid". I need help!!!! Im confused on utility, Im not sure which version i need. I chose step 1 and then keep pressing "any button to continue" and then it gets to a point where it says error. Also, on some RSDlite, i downloaded the files that have the stock roms and attempt to flash them, some stop in the middle of the process and then it gives me "failed" message, while some files i flash and they get to a point where it says rebooting and it does but its still stuck in the "droid" part and then RSDlite tells me to power up my device, when its already powered up! just stuck on that "droid" boot up part. So i do a reset to make it boot up again and the samething happens. Any help would be appreciative.

Welcome to the forum! :) Will the phone boot into recovery? Do you even know which Android version it's running?

Looks like im making some progress, if you can call it that. I did the razrutilities and now the phone stays stuck on the M logo and goes black. No more stuck on "droid"

Download a new ROM onto the SD card via a reader (making sure the ROM is on the root directory) then replace the card. Reboot into recovery and do a complete wipe three times. Everything must go, data, cache.... etc. Then flash the new ROM onto the phone from the SD card. See if that gets you anywhere. Good luck!
