droid sync events to google

if this is the wrong thread - let me know please.

When I create an event in Outlook, it syncs to the Google calendar and then to my Droid calendar.

When I create an event in the Google calendar, it syncs to both my Droid and Outlook calendars.

However, when I create an event on my Droid, it does not sync to the Google calendar and therefore does not sync to Outlook

what am I missing?
