Droid Touch screen just stops working

Ok, I read a few posts, and some suggested to wipe the phone. I did.

I formatted the Memory card, I am keeping it plugged in.

out of nowhere the screen just stops becoming non responsive. I have to pull the battery out numerous times before it works.

Sometimes if I open the keyboard and close it, it works, but really this is getting annoying.

Does anyone know what may have caused this? I haven't dropped it, and no water damage, no clue what to do.

Hardware issues are something best dealt with thru Verizon. I would take it in and see what their tech's say about it. May need to be replaced.

I got this in February, so really it would take this long to be defective? I use it a lot too.

I won't go to their techs, I already heard their responses to other people. They say to kill apps and that is why it is not working.

Call *611, should be covered under the 1yr manufacturers warranty.

and killing apps has NOTHING to do with the screen working or not. LOL
Some just don't know any better.
