The Motorola Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx & Droid Mini are receiving a new update. The updated, which started rolling out today, is very minor, and basically is simply meant to improve their VoLTE Advanced Calling capabilities on these devices.

Below are links to the changelog pdf files:

My wife's Mini is down loading now... I guess it's like my Turbo's update last month for advanced calling...Now I know someone who has it LOL
Well it is not Advanced Calling, I can't find it in setting like I can on my Turbo.

Going to have to unroot I guess to take this one. The last one went right through without having to convert anything.

Can't get the factory recovery image to take. I will have to try this later.

I don't use the Mini enough to see any change, I do know that when the Turbo got the Advanced calling update you can go to it via setting and also came the ability to remove the search bar on the home screen by long pressing the screen and a tool box comes up to remove it or turn it off.

To be able to get HD calling on the Mini you need to go to My Verizon and agree/add the HD option ( free ) to each phone then turn off the phone (s) and then turn it on and go to setting....more.....mobile networks...VoLTE turn on if off. It's not in setting until you agree in My Verizon.

It really doesn't add anything for me, in terms of value. I was quite happy with the quality of calls on 1X/3G. The sparser propagation of 4G in my areas means at times I do run the risk of dropped calls, and I've experienced people complaining to me about "breaking up" which I don't get on cellular.

One thing this update does do (at least on my phone) is turn VoLTE to ON in the Settings and now the toggle is greyed out and cannot be turned Off. Edit: Disregard that comment...it was like that at first, but after a reboot the On / Off toggles is functional again.
