Droid wont connect to PC

So, I am sure this is answered somewhere but if I was to somehow search for this it would come back with a million hits. I am trying to connect my droid to my pc. but when i connect via the USB cable nothing happens except the droid starts charging. When going to My Computer and clicking on the removable disk my comp prompts me to insert a disk into the drive. Help!

You have to pull down your notification bar, select the USB option and it will prompt you to select "Mount". Do that.

Of course, you could be running Windows 7 like me and it won't work at all.
