My droid turned itself off about 20 minutes ago. It wouldn't turn on so I removed the battery, put it back in, nothing. When I try to power it up the white Motorola logo comes up and then it turns right back off. I have it plugged into my computer charger right now. Tried it while charging and without it plugged in...
I use my phone as an alarm clock and I have to pick someone up at the airport tomorrow so this is the worst timing.
Anybody know how I can fix this quick?

--I know I can go to the Verizon store and all of that, but it's not much of an option right now since it's 4AM. I don't have time to stop there tomorrow before the airport, and I have no clue of any flight information for the person I'm picking up. This is really frustrating me.

Another edit; I tried a hard reset and the yellow triangle that's supposed to show up doesn't even come up. Wtf

How dead was the battery? Are you rooted? did you recently install any new apps that might be causing this?

I had this happen a couple weeks ago. It wouldn't turn on until I had it charging from the wall charger. Not sure why, but what you describe is exactly what mine was doing.

If you are not charging with the factory charger, you may not actually be charging. Just a thought, but worth mentioning.

This morning and last Friday my Droid turned itself off and would not turn back on until I removed and replaced the battery. The battery has been charged both times so I don't know why it's doing this.

i am having a problem with my droid. last night my battery died and now i am trying to charge it but i get "Bootloader 2C.6C (flashing) Battery Low Cannot Program" it has been plugged into my laptop for about an hour. i have it rooted and i do have the nandroid back up but i cant even load to get to the recovery mode. some help would be great.

I've seen the same messages when trying to charge my dead driod. It is charging, but very slowly.

When the battery is completely dead, use the wall charger. It charges much quicker than a PC's USB port. Once it has enough charge, power it on before you plug it into USB.

Is that in regards to my issue or the other peoples issue? Sorry just want to be sure.

Yes. Your Issue.

You will see that message any time you try power on the Droid while connected to USB. You need to get enough charge in it to complete the powerup cycle before you plug it into USB.
