Droid won't turn on

So a couple of weeks ago my droid fell in the water and wasn't functioning anymore.

I did the whole put in rice thing and the phone was ok except for the backlight of the screen

so i ordered a new screen and installed it. Now the phone won't turn on.
When i plug the usb cable to charge the battery, the LED next to the USB port turns on and off, then the phone heats up ALOT and that's it. The red LED next to the earpiece doesn't turn on, and the phone doesn't turn on either.


Please can anyone help?

That doesn't sound good at all! No insurance??

are you sure that you installed the screen correctly?

well I dont see how I could of messed it up....
I even took apart the phone for a second time and reinstalled it again and still nothing

Oh and no I have no insurance


I still have my HTC Hero and Nexus One but I really like the keyboard on my Droid
