Droid X 2.3

Is there a way I can get Gingerbread on my Droid X without rooting? I prefer not to root, but I will if it is absolutely necessary. I see some people get 2.3 without rooting, and I want to know how they did it, and I want to do it like that. Thanks!

I think P3droid tweeted they were working on a nonrooted way to do it. Might check mydroidworld and see if they got it.

U have to dl the 2.3 ota that was extracted from the guys phone. Rename it to update.zip and place on the root of your sdcard. Reboot into stock recovery and select apply update.zip.
I heard it was removed due to moto c&d put check droidlife and mdw. Mdw is the source of it.
