Hello Forum, my name is eems. I read a couple of the threads on Droids and Japan but they seemed a bit outdated.
I will be traveling to Japan mid June to mid August. I recently spoke with a Verizon representative and asked about suspending my service for two months. He said it would only cost $15 dollars and made mention to try to get a CDMA service while in Japan.
I read up on using Japanese services like DoCoMo, using apps like sipdroid, sipgate, google voice, gv callback, but I would love to hear more opinions on the matter.
Does anyone one have personal experience with suspending service here and getting service in Japan?
