Droid x battery issue help

Ok its 9:56 where im at and my battery is at 80% from a fully charge and im not fully using it just the music player. I turned background data off and 3G and screen brightness is off. By the end of my shift will most likely have 50 or 40% which ia crazy if im not heavily using it why is my battery depleting so quickly?

3more hours and im out and I got here 2hours ago. So basically 5hours ill be on my shift. Sometimes longer.

I'm having issues with my Droid X. I can not get it out of "safe mode".

No two hours of listening to music the rest of the time is either sittn in my pocket or I check a blog or two on the browser then turn 3g off. I only stay on browser for like a three minutes.
