Droid X Dock killer???

I bought an off brand pouch for my X. Everytime I put in it, it must sense the magnets and go into dock mode. What free apps are there to prevent this from happening OR is there a setting I can change on the phone to disable dock mode and keeo my screen from staying illuminated and killing my battery

Verizon sells this one holster which i have and think this is the best case and holster combo for any phone. It comes with a case like piece which you put your phone in for protection it only adds 1mm of thikness and then it has a holster for to clip on your hip.

I've tried that. Sometimes when I put the phone face out with the ear speaker forward it does not go into dock mode. Buying a diff case would be pointless and is not going to happen since I already have one.

Any others use a good app or know how disable dock mode. Is sucks b/c it draining my battery while in the holster!

Im having the same problem. I rooted my phone and uninstalled car dock but my screen turns on while in the case. What can I do to the phone to prevent this?

There is an app called DockControl

none of these apps are working for me. they just disable the car dock which i already uninstalled. i need to disactivate the metal sensors on the phone. im sure it has to be somewhere in the file directory.

bump, none of these apps work! Need help as this is killing my battery when in my holster.

your holster probably has magnets in it which turn on the screen, get rid of the magnets and screen will not turn on.
