I just bought my X and im still trying to get used to the emails and all, sometimes ill get them immediatly and sometimes not. i just switched from a :blackberry: tour and that was pretty handy.

i have seen the peak hours setting before but i cant locate it! Can someone help me find it :/ Also does anyone have any suggestions as to why my email is so shoddy and i dont really recieve them on a consistant time frame? My outlook will receive a message at, lets say, 8:15 and i even go into my email and refresh it at like 8:45 and it doesnt pick it up? i have to keep refreshing then sometimes it will pick it up, but sometimes wont pick it up until Outlook is open...i know that this isnt the case all the time because ill get emails at around 11 pm when Outlook is not open!!!

HELLP!

Switch to performance mode (look in battery settings) and don't use a task killer. I guess you're using the stock email client but you should use k9. Set polling to your desired frequency if using POP3.

Touchdown is great on the X for email.....Free licenses are being given for X owners.

Ive heard not to use a task killer, so i uninstalled the one i was using and it seemed to make my phone slow down...whats the theory behind not using one?

I downloaded it again and phone seems to be running alot smoother.

i tried it, but didnt like it. couldnt find anywhere to erase the automatic signature "sent via droid x by touchdown www.touchdow.com" or someting like that...

changing my phone to performance mode seems to be pushing those emails through now. any ideas why?
