droid x reboot itself

I have a droid x that like to reboot itself at random times. It happens once every couple of days that I know of. I did this when it was stock and does it not that it is rooted and with Dark Slide ROM

The phone was re-programmed with a new phone number from verizon. Reprogramming wa done by me not a VW salesman. I noticed after the re-program that verizon installed a task killer on the phone.

Any reasons for the random restarts??? and can I safely remove some bloatware such as the VW task killer, Madden football, andsome others.

When the phone reboots it has been laying down untouched. not over worked or getting too hot. Root and Rom are the only mods tot he phone it has not been overclocked.

Thanks

First of all DO NOT delete that bloatware you were talking about. Second, get rid of that task killer. That is not necessary for AOS. Reboot the phone and see if the problem persists..

sorry I was mistaken it is a task manager. without the option to un-install as it has been "grayed" out
should I still un-install this?

EDIT

I believe this is an app installed by verizon can I use titanium backup to install it or is this also considered bloatware?

verizon installed a task manager on your phone? what are they thinking? yea get rid of it. u dont need that on 2.2 and above. since that doesnt come with the original 340 update it shouldnt affect anything

Everytime I call verizon, they tell me to use a task killer. I keep telling them its no good, but they insist that I need it. It drives me crazy.

droid x rebooting itself

I'm on my third Droid with the same problem. VZ says that it is not a problem they are aware of.

They take me through an hour of resets, but they just don't seem to know.

What to do??

I had this random reboot problem shortly after that little 'fix' update come out a few month ago... I did resets and took it to verizon, got a replacement phone, same thing happened. It would do it when it was just sitting at the counter while I was at work, look over and 'Oh My Phones Rebooting, AGAIN', but I noticed it mostly when the phone would want to rotate. I turned off rotate and it hasn't restarted since. Don't know why turning off rotate helped stop the rebooting when I just had it sitting but it did... Dunno if that helps at all but maybe worth a try?

reboot

Well I turned off rotate, so we'll see. Unfortunately it is always in the vertical position. Is there a way to manually make it horizontal, or permanently horizontal?

Thanks,
