I wont be updating to the OTA I will keep my leaked 2.2 till there is a SBF file. If you dont have SBF file for the OTA 2.2 I would not try to mod anything. if you brick anything its over till some verizon store leaks the 2.2 file.

No you could always sbf back to 2.1.
To answer the original question bootstrap will work on a 2.2 rooted phone

If you updated to the newest OTA 2.2, then no, you can not SBF back to 2.1.

Atleast regarding what I seen here:

Bacbone you sure that the bootstrap works with the ota. I know it works for the droid 2 but I dont know if they tweaked anything. I know motorola been watching these sites. It would not surprise me.

I tried bootstrap on my OTA and so far, it doesn't look like it's working.

EDIT: Just tried it for about the 3rd or 4th try and it WORKED. Woo hoo.

oh nice! You just had to keep running the app and rebooting?

Did you get any errors when you ran it the first time?
