Droid X Root Problems - Android v2.3.3.

I have had my phone rooted with a custom ROM installed before, and the process went very smoothly the first time I tried it. I used z4 Root to root the phone, Clockwork Recovery Mod to bootstrap it and everything just the way that I am supposed to. However, when the new version of Android came out I decided to restore it to stock and upgrade. Now I am wanting to redo the process but I am having problems. z4 Root locks up my phone on first attempt, then on second attempt it completes the process of rooting the phone only it doesn't actually give me root access. How am I supposed to get rooted now if z4 doesn't work?

z4root does not have gingerbread support as of now. i believe if you use gingerbreak you should be able to root gingerbread for the X. just google and look around for the gingerbreak apk
