Droid X side camera button stopped working! Help!

Hey guys I'm having a problem with my DX side red button for the camera, as it seems to have just stopped working entirely. It was working fine a few days ago but now I have to tap the screen button to take a photo. It also wont work from the home screen to quick load the camera app which is unfortunate! Ive only had my phone about 2 weeks.:/
I'm also new to droidforum dancedroid
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Congrats you broke it I would take it back to verizon and tell them what's up. Is the phone unrooted?

Lol I figured as much. & yes its un-rooted. I dont ever bother with jail breaking/rooting . Thanks scubieman.

I would say other option is with going back to verizon. Since your not rooted you wouldn't be able to delete a important file to make it not work. So then next option is hardware which none of us could fix. Sorry
