okay so i dropped my phone and noticed it had some lines didnt think to much about it.well like 4 days after the drop i was checking my phone and noticed it was somehow in safe mode i didnt know why so i just pulled the battery. well now it just sticks at the motorola sign and it will not go into recovery mode by holding home+power button but it will go into the bootloader thing. so im wondering what i should do. i was reading something about SBF whatever that is but i was wondering if i do that can i do it without the sd card in it so it keeps all my stuff? also are my contacts stored in the sd card???

any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe contacts are stored in the phone's Flash RAM if I'm not mistaken, not on the SD card. Were you set up with any backup software or service, like Verizon's service? Were you configured with Google and had your contacts configured to backup on Google's servers?

I would think that based on what results you describe, your problem is not one that can be remedied by flashing the ROM again (SBF). It sounds more like a hardware failure. I hope I'm wrong for your sake but I am fearing I'm not.

ddaammnn so all my contacts are gone.awhile ago i used mybackup pro and i couldnt figure out how to use the file i got out of it and im not even sure where the file is anymore i think its on my busted laptop, this just keeps getting better.but i can get it off my hdd cause thats still fine in my busted laptop.but **** this sucks
