My understanding is that the hold up on overclocking and undervolting is due to a locked bootloader. I don't think it will be long for that to be fixed since we just got the 2.2 SBF. Give it a week or two and we should be good.

Yep, the kernel is what controls the voltage from my understanding and the bootloader will only load the stock kernel. Hopefully there will be a crack for the bootloader soon.

Really though, if you have your phone setup properly you should have plenty of juice, well, in other words underclocking isnt going to make a noticable difference.

Cant remember what I was getting with the stock battery...but with the extended battery I can get 15 or so hours of use. This being ALOT of talking and txting, playing, web and music throughout the day...with the occasional navigation.

I didnt overclock I just undervolted.

1000000 50
900000 40
600000 30
300000 24

So far so good. Although I have seen posted that stock is 66, mine was 56.

Ran solid with these for 4 hours:
Running solid with this:
1300000 @ 60
900000 @ 44
600000 @ 38
300000 @ 27

I've taken the other direction now, trying to see how low I can go:
Running solid with this:
1000000 @ 47
800000 @ 43
600000 @ 29
300000 @ 18

Isolating freqs in setcpu to test 300/300, 600/600, etc. then stress test, angry birds, facebook, quake3. at 300/300, and 600/600 I get a random pause in stress test that will force the reboot, but the hack stays in place; I gather it must not have been a full restart =p, since I do not have install-recovery hacked. Depending on what happens today with battery, I may install this config, as I am still getting 1396/1456 on Quadrant, and 14.17's in linpack with setcpu 300/1000 on demand.

i just got jrummys overclocking app. im not sure where i can find the values he uses, but im running 1.2 on ultra low voltage with 0 problems so far. thats web browsing, flash sites, angry birds; everything. highly recommended

This started rebooting on me today for some strange reason after I migrated to a different rom. I just wiped cache and I am going to try again. 18 maybe a little low. lol
