Droid x video zoom

I just found out today that u can't zoom in when taking videos. Is there any apps or any settings that I need to configure to make this happen?

Even if you could it's digital zoom and is very poor. No optical zoom on any smart phone that I know of.

Unfortunately there aren't any settings that would enable zoom while recording video. I have not seen any apps available for the Droid X that would allow this either. That said, as Rocko points out, if an app does exist out there it'd be a digital zoom and would affect the quality of the video. If you're ok with that, I'm sure you could digitally zoom in on the video in an editor on your PC, though that is hardly convenient...
