Droid1 on the fritz, including back button not working. A few quick questions...

My droid1 has been on the fritz, starting the last week. The back button stopped working, and the phone is more unresponsive than ever.

Examples.. my twitter will just continually scroll up and down sometimes, and occasionally when i text somebody, the phone will take control and type random letters.


1. Is this common when the phone is over a year old?
-Is there anything I can do to stop it?

2. Should I be concerned about malware?
3. Will Asurion cover this or would I be better off losing my phone?
4. Is there any way to determine if Asurion will send me a Droid2?

Sounds like the touch screen.
Malware will work invisibly - it won't "phone home" while you are watching.
