DroidForums.net is now ready for Chrome OS! For those that were lucky enough to receive a free Chrome OS notebook from Google or just running Chrome OS on your personal gear, we now have a quick launch icon available thanks to WoodyMan! For complete instructions on how to setup the icon or create your own visit: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-concepts/123826-droidforums-net-chrome-web-app.html

And of course for all Chrome OS discussions, be sure to visit Chrome OS Forum.net

Nice - checking it out now, not that I got a Chrome Notebook but my fingers are still crossed :)

Thanks Woody! One more contribution to the Android community.

Mike

I hope to get that notebook but have been using Chrome for a while now....DF looks great in Chrome.

I really want one of those laptops. If they decide to sell them, I think I'll get one if I don't get a free one.

I almost bid on one last night on ebay... but I didn't pull the trigger. I think I might just buy a low end netbook and load the OS on it.

Come on brother don't be afraid to leak these goodies to team a little early. J/K

Nice work on this for sure.

lol i would have if it was planned, i threw this together between classes today, messed up the first time and had to hurry up and go fix it before everyone saw the post... lol.. I will be updating both Apps soon, and possibly adding more as well...

also a tutorial about this will be in the Droid Concepts section and on ChromeOSForums.net sometime tomorrow.. :)

what do we gain with the app?

i'm too lazy right now to install to find out myself. lol

as far as I can tell, nothing.

You get a link under the apps section on a new tab, which brings you here.

It's not really a web app, more of a bookmark with a custom icon that you can only get to with a few more button clicks as opposed to having it on your bookmarks toolbar......

that is all an app is from the chrome web store its a bookmark with a big icon.. the extensions are more of an app then the apps are, all of the apps from the chrome web store are just links to sites
