Ill try to get pictures but my store is out of them untill Tuesday (sold 15 today).

Idk if i explaind it so you can understand what im saying but ill try to get proof.

yea ive seen a few other posts on here where people noticing their friends keyboard is different from theirs

comparison pics would be nice when you can get those

I've seen a few posts about different keyboards, can't say the same for boxes. I do know my Droid has a flat keyboard, and the box was pretty small. Week 42/09 if that matters.

This is like some conspiracy theory or something......jeez! There is one type of keyboard. Some have raised keys, some have flat keys, some have flat keys that become slightly raised over time. It's clearly a manufacturing process causing these differences, but there is no different keyboard.

The keys seem to deform some with use.

My keyboard was flat when I bought it, but I only use the hardware keyboard. My keys have since become "bubbled" to a degree, which does help in using the kb. People who ignore their keyboard will still have flat keys.

+1. I use the physical keyboard 99% of the time, and have noticed slight bubblage, if you will. Definitely helps differentiate the keys when typing quickly.

i found some droids that where RMAs and they came in the Log style box and they keys are raised on those. They are brand new but RMA so ill compair them to the ones that come in the small square box

also +1 for me, i practically whore the emulators mainly zelda and pokemon and the keys i use most often seem to be up higher than those i dont, even though i cant really see itt idk placebo maybe but i do notice it

I think people are noticing minor unit-to-unit differences and attribute them to purposeful manufacturing changes rather than random variation. Humans love to see patterns where none exist. Just watch them in a casino.

Exactly. There have been multiple other threads stating the same as the OP in this thread. One of them suggested a silent release by motorola. Not to be mean, but that is just dumb. If a company releases a better product, they make a press release and let it be known to the world, they don't do it quietly.

I think this may be the case. My two friends and I all got Droids around the same time. They keep saying how my keyboard is different. My letters are raised slightly, almost feel bubbled, more comfortable to type on.

I just realized though that I use my keyboard almost exclusively while they use the virtual keyboards more often.

I honestly don't remember how my keyboard was when I first used it so I can't compare personally.

I am pretty sure mine is bubbling up as well - but I can't say for certain. But I should point out that I really liked the keyboard from day 1 - it aint perfect, but I like it. ...of course I came from the Omnia that had no keyboard, and I dont think I will EVER go without a keyboard again lol!

Take care,
Rob
