dropped phone now can't hear phone calls

phone fell from couch to floor and now i cant hear people on the phone except on speaker phone (they can hear me fine). I have only had the phone 5 days. everything else works fine and theres no visual evidence of a fall. anyone got any advice?

VZW told me their exchange (for a new phone of the same type) policy is - if you're inside the 14day thing - you get a new phone ... if you're outside of it - you get a refurb. I know many people here post their gripes about VZW's customer service, but - I've always had very good luck with it. I would think if something as simple as this issue (it was working fine - now it only owrks on speakerphone) - is a return for new thing right ???
