Dumped my GN2 in less than a day

Went back and forth forever about whether to get the Galaxy Note 2 or the Razr Maxx HD, eventually decided to get the GN2 yesterday.

Really wished I realized how weak of junk radios that the Samsungs have in them before I had gotten it. Returned it today, just 24 hours later and got the device I should have gotten in the first place!

So much better now and much happier with the Razr Maxx HD in every possible way! Won't make that mistake again!

Congrats on the HD.. Very good phone I tested it for a few weeks..I'm also not having any signal or weak radios from the Note 2..It's actually very good for me.. But not all phones are created equally..
Good luck with the phone...

Welcome to the forums and good choice of phone to stay with. Of course I'm a little biased. This phone by far has had the best signal of any phone I've had. Make sure to check out and play around with smart actions. You can make your phone do some pretty neat things automatically (turn on wifi as soon as you get home or to work is one I use). Good luck and enjoy!

Welcome to the forums, and I'm glad you're enjoying your RAZR MAXX HD!

As for my experience with the Note 2, I've owned a lot of smartphones, and I travel a lot and often find myself in areas with very weak coverage (and when I'm not traveling, I live in an area with weak coverage). The Note 2 has held a signal just as well as the best Motorola devices I've owned. Samsung's radios really did used to be awful in comparison to Motorola and HTC, but they've made some major strides with the Galaxy S3 and the Note 2 on many fronts, including the radios.

Yeah sounds like you got a bad phone as my Note 2 is light years ahead of my old Thunderbolt in terms of its radio.

Either way, sounds like you got the right phone for you so congrats.

Have a samsung galaxy s3 here.... Exile I love the phone and the radios are pretty good... They still do not compare to any Motorola phone I have ever had.

I also have a Note 2 along with my brother. My wife's motorola bionic & my friends rzr maxx have better radios than Samsung. We have trouble getting signal in some of our rural areas here in Texas while the motos keep a great signal. Love my note 2 and samsung has come a long way with better radios. Maybe they will keep improving them.

My Note 2's radio is on par with friends moto phones. I have zero issues at all.

It was really weird, but I tried 2 different Note 2's and both had the same problem in our house. We live in an area with a lot of coverage too, so I was a bit shocked. I would get halfway down the street and it was fine.

But anyways, got my Razr Maxx HD and amazing reception in the house and crystal clear, couldn't be happier with this phone, it's so amazing, especially with the battery!
