Duplicated pictures, NEED HELP

I have been having this problem for awhile now. Everytime I take a picture and then some time later when I go back and view them I would have duplicates of the same picture. I can still not figure out the reason why it does this. About a month ago I thought it would ne alright if I deleted one of the duplicates. Well when I did this it erased both of them. I had a lot of pictures too and now they're all gone. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the problem is or has experienced this problem so that it doesn't happen again.

Have you tried to unmount and then mount the SD card?

Well it seems to be working as of right now... Thanks. I hope it doesn't start to do it again haha
