E-mail screen time out issue

I have the Droid Pro and I suddenly am having an issue with the e-mail screen. When I touch the e-mail icon it brings me to the e-mail screen however just as it starts to refresh it jumps back to the main menu. I have taken the battery out to re-boot the phone and it is still doing it. Any suggestions?
