Eager to be a Droid Owner

My wife and I are currently Blackberry owners with Verizon. After visiting the local Verizon store, we are both certain we want Droid phones. We currently have Blackberry Curves, and at this point its just convenient getting emails. Beyond that, our Blackberrys are just too slow anymore.

I would like suggestions from those of you who own and have experience with Droids on which model would be best. Any info on which unique features one model has over another would be greatly appreciated.
