I read books on the Nook app. But the text books from the nook study app wont work. Was told text books have a different coding not suitable for mobile devices. Hope that helps.

Yeah you need a ebook reader app, Kindle, Nook, and or Google reader. I use Kindle and it works very well.

I've been using the 10000 Free eBooks Reader from the market.
It does not have 10000 books, but many of them are current books.
The reader works pretty well, not as nice as the Nook or Kindle reader, but for the price of the books I'm ok with a few little issues.
It has a lot of text size options so if your eyes are good you can fit a lot of words on one page. I liked that better than the Kindle option which seems like I have to constantly turn pages when reading on the phone.
