See post 21 for the latest P8000B Update

Back in April, @wicked, scooped the media with the Elephone P7000 announcement.

Elephone P7000 - High end spec'd flagship for a fraction of the cost

In fact, I ordered one [just shipped yesterday] just to see what it's all about. To date, Elephone has not delivered all the P7000 orders. My source at Elephone said "we never expected the amount of orders we received. We have our factories working overtime to meet the demand".
Now that they are catching up on P7000 orders, Elephone has announced the P8000, which will go on sale next week June15th at $209.99.

The P8000 will have a whopping 4165 mAh battery, FHD display and Android 5.1.

The specs include:
  • MediaTek MTK6753 Octa Core SoC
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 16GB of storage (SD-card expandable to 128)
  • 5.5" 1080p FHD display
  • 4165 mAh battery
  • 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera
  • LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, etc.
  • Touch ID
  • 5V 2A Quick Charge
The P8000 comes unlocked along with the Ele Root App. I am told that Ele Root will work on all Elephone variants.

Cyanogenmod, Xiaomi's MIUI, Meizu's Flyme OS, Huawei's EMUI ROMS should be available to flash in the near future.

Colors include Gold, Grey and White.

Now here is the good part. Elephone is offing an ELECODE $40 discount coupon bringing the cost down to $169.99 for pre orders. Head over to www.elephone.hk to get yours on June 15th.

You can check out the P8000 product page here.

Nice, look forward to reviews.

I am strongly considering it as I like that it is unlocked and come rooted .

I'm looking forward to your review.. if I remember correctly the LTE band for At&t was a concern for me whilst looking it over..

Good stuff. Thanks @Jeffrey! I might just grab one to use permanently connected to my Pioneer head unit with Appradio Unchained Reloaded app!

Dang, is it really so hard to throw in dual antennas for CDMA like the Nexus 6? :( i really wish other carriers were more reliable where I am, but Verizon's really the best here. AT&T seems to be the only carrier that sort of works well here, but my father's had so many horror stories working with them in the past that I just don't want to deal with them.
