Email alerts application

Today I have switched over from BB Tour to Droid 2. So far I like the new device however I cannot find one application that I really need to do my day to day business. I mean I don't really need it but by having it will help me to stop looking at my phone every 2 minutes.

Is there a way/an application that will allow me to setup custom alerts depending on the sender's email address? I have to reply to emails from some of my clients within minutes. Having this application will help me to put my phone away and check it only when email from X arrives in my inbox.

I don't know of one. Maybe Maildroid?
