is there an app, or a way out there that I can lock my emails? Kind of like handcent makes it so you can lock your texts and need a password to get in.

Take a look at "App Protector" or "Protector." They're very similar and appear to have been developed by a single group of developers who later had a falling out. Each works for emails as well as for virtually any app on your phone. And each provides security to prevent the protector app itself from being defeated.
