Email notification LED

I was wondering if there was a way to have it ring and show in notification bar when I get a new email but not blink the led. Anyone know of a way?

I use Touchdown for my Exchange email and turning off the LED is an option or changing it to another color for emails versus appts as well. It doesn't appear to be an option for the native email client. I'm sure there is a method to do that though.

I use the app BLINK to set up some of the LED colors and blink rate.
