Email occassionally stops working

Every so often my Droid stops retrieving email from my three separate email accounts and nothing seems to fix this until I pull the battery and restart. After that, my emails start loading. Seems to happen almost every day now; any ideas where to look?

Some data points:
New Verizon Droid phone
Email works after pulling battery
Running MyLookout to scan viruses, etc.
Not much installed on the phone
Email is two pop3 accounts and Gmail
No sync apps installed.
Forced "refreshes" from the email screen doesn't resolve the issue

that happens to me every once in a while with my exchange e-mail thru work. i change the e-mail check frequency setting from "push" to "never". quit out of the settings area and then go back in and change it back. works every time.

First thing I'd do is get rid of the virus scanner. You don't need it. But I don't think that's causing your issue.

I wonder how you have your mail configured. Have you tried having it forwarded to gmail and then sync gmail? You can still have your separate accounts, you just have to set it up in gmail.

Go to gmail on line and click on settings take a look at both the accounts and imports tabs and the forwarding/import tab. There are help links available for configuring different clients.
