Email problem

I have a POP3 email account set up on my Moto Droid. On occasions emails I have not deleted are missing from my inbox and are not in my trash file. Is this happening with anyone else and does anyone no where the emails are going?

If someone checks your mail on your server from your home (i.e. ms outlook on your laptop at home), it will delete it off your phone usually. I know it did this on my blackberry.
