Emails from "me"

This is driving me crazy. Every time I send an email from my X its says "me" instead of my name. I saw another post here about it and it said to change my gmail settings. I followed the instructions that were given & it DOES say my name in the settings already. I also check myself in my contact list & that also says my name. Please, if anyone can give me ANY other help I would REALLY appreciate it. I'm willing to try anything!!! Thanks!:icon_evil::icon_evil::icon_evil::icon_evil::icon_evil:

Are the emails generating form your gmail, or other account?

I honestly don't know. How do I check? I really only use 1 account. I only got a gmail account because I thought it would be easier to transfer my contacts to my X. Should I delete it? This never happened on my computer. only when I started using email on my x. Thanks for your help!

I just went to gmail APP, then settings. At the top is a signature setting. What I typed in there seems to be going into any message I start.

I just went to me gmail app. My signature was blank. so I put my name in & still sent as "me". Thanks for trying. its making me crazy!

How much do you have setup? A factory reset should resolve it.

Yes, will return to the way you got it originally!

Paid APPs will be available in the download section. Non paid you could just write down.

Or use an APP called AppBrain that has a web component. Once you sync your APP's with AppBrain your APP's are listed on the companion website.

It's going to read the same as the contact that includes that email address in it. Mine always ends up being "Google Voice" because of this.

It will say Me in your account when you are viewing it, but to others it will say your name, or whatever name you set it up as. Its just part of gmail.

On your contacts in your phone I know you checked it but does it have one that says it is linked to. Maybe you actual gmail account online is set up as saying "me", but then your phone says it right but the one linked to it should say "me". If that makes any sense at all give it a shot, basically go to your contact and find the listing for yourself and click on it does it say there is a linked profile?

A while ago I did have a contact called "me" and edited that to my name, I didn't' help. SO I no longer have a contact named "me". The only one of my email addresses I have in my contact list is under my name also. You guys are awesome in offering your advice. If you think of anything else, just let me know. Thanks
