That description may be kind of confusing. But I just got a S4 and love it except for 2 things. Less than great battery life (average 6-8hours). But that's not what I'm posting about.
I know (for some crazy reason) the S4 doesn't support SVDO (that's voice and data on a 3G only connection) the Verizon S3 could do it and my last phone the RAZR Maxx HD could do it.
I did have a Bionic too and it couldn't. However if I needed data while on a call in 3G only setting I could go into Phone Info and enable Global mode and it would enable the LTE radio. On the S4 however it seems to lock it down until the call has ended. Not matter what mode I change it to, in phone info or the network setting of Global or LTE/CDMA. LTE STILL stays off til the call is done. So that leaves me telling the other person to call back, or go without data. Does anyone know a way to get around this?
