This is a strange problem...
Bought my wife an Eris to replace her Omnia. I synced all her Outlook contacts using HTC sync and they all showed up fine eventually. I had to delete all and resync because I tried to sync phone contacts with google and they wouldn't transfer. Didn't fix the problem, but that's not such a big deal.
But now when anyone calls, the caller id number is correct, but the name shows up as Jacques Grenier....can't figure it out, there is no Jacques Grenier in her contact list. Again this name shows up when anyone calls.
I kidded her that she and her French lover were busted, and while googling for anyone with this or similar issues I saw this:
Jacques Grenier - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
So he is calling from beyond the grave!
Anyway, I'm perplexed, and before I do a hard reset and start over, anyone seen anything remotely resembling this?
