Seems like since the new 2.2 update my gmail is ridiculously slow to upload email. If I try to send a picture (2-3 MB) it takes over an hour. Doesn't matter if I have wifi connected or not. It shows full wifi signal, and shows the two circular arrows for a few seconds while syncing. I've tried different locations and different wifi connections. I don't get it.
Sometimes I'm also getting a delay in being notified of new gmail, for several hours. Not sure if this is related to the same problem.
