Facebook alerts on my razr maxx

Wondering how to get alerts for my Facebook.
i have it all set up on fb settings but don't get any alerts.
I literally have to go on fb to check?
Any ideas help

Facebook is a very funny app lol, literally the only app on my phone that works 50% of time and doesn't get uninstalled lol.

I believe you have yo have "background data" in the phone settings turned on

Just looked and background data was already on.
Turned it off and then on again to maybe reset it.
Any other ideas?

Long press on your home screen, tap Widgets, scroll to universal inbox, it will give you settings options, showing Facebook updates should be an option. If not see below.

go into MY ACCOUNTS, and tap on the Facebook icon, sign in and your phone will start to receive notifications.

The Facebook app is notoriously finicky.

A uninstall and fresh install is the only thing that I have found to work.
