Facebook App Causing GPS Signal Loss ????

I've noticed trecently that whenever I open the facebook app the little "searching for GPS" symbol appears in the status bar and continues to blink as if it cant find a signal. Killing the FB app and using the GOS toggle to turn GPS off then on seems to restore the signal. Additionally, I've noticed this happening even when I get a FB message and don't open the app.

Anyone else notice this?
