Facebook Mobile vs Friend Stream

Why is it that my Facebook Mobile doesn't show new posts yet Friend Stream has everything in real time? I think my FM shows posts from 2 hours ago while FS shows 1 minute ago.

I have the opposite problem. My Friend Stream hasn't updated since
October 22. Regular facebook updates have been fine till yesterday.
Since yesterday my dinc tells me I have no network connection to do any sort of updates. To fix that problem I have to power down the phone and restart it.

I reinstalled facebook mobile and now it updates in real time. Plus the layout is so much better then what was on the phone already.
