The above is just a mock-up render from the web, and is not necessarily representative of the actual device.

We thought the Facebook phone rumors had been laid to rest last year, but apparently this particular zombie doesn't want to stay in the ground. Supposedly, HTC will be bringing out a phone called "The Myst" which will be a dedicated Facebook device. We even have some specs which are meant to convince us it is legit. Here they are,
  • 4.3-inch display with 1,280 x 720 resolution (320 ppi)
  • Dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage (no microSD slot)
  • 5MP rear camera, 1.6MP front-facing cam
  • LTE, HSPA
  • Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
Supposedly, this phone is likely coming to AT&T sometime in the Spring of 2013. In a way, the Facebook phone actually did happen. Back in 2011, HTC, along with AT&T, released the HTC ChaCha which had a dedicated Facebook button, but didn't really turn out to be a dedicated full-blown Facebook phone. We remind you of this, because it is highly probable that this HTC Myst is actually real, and is following in the footsteps of the ChaCha. Even though this device will likely not be fully endorsed as a Facebook dedicated device, it will likely have a slew of functions that come pretty close to that approximation. This will likely include some pre-loaded Facebook-centric software like a new version of the Facebook app, Facebook Messenger, Instagram and perhaps even another Facebook button.

It is possible we are wrong on this one, and this will actually be a Zuckerberg-approved true Facebook device, but we highly doubt it.

How many of you guys could see yourself getting behind this device?

Well that would put Zuckerberg right up with there with other famous personalities/lines, such as, "Read my lips: No new taxes" and "I did not have ***** relations with that woman." :D

And one wonders why HTC is failing. This would certainly be the end of HTC's slow, painful death.
