Facebook?

Ok so I added my facebook account and obviously my gmail account to the "accounts" on my x. Do any of you also use a fb app? Or just the social networking thing that came on it?

I have been wondering that too. I think I'll try the app as well and see how it works.

I guess my problem is for some reason when I post my status updates it posts on my profile page but not on the news feed so no one sees it. When I post through mobile or touch fb and not the app it posts to the news feed. Trying to figure out the problem.

Once I realized that the built in Facebook app (social network thing, whatever) populates your entire contact list with your friends, I immediately removed the account.

But yes, I do use the normal market app all of the time.

I didnt mind having my fb contacts in my phone book because my friends list is pretty small but the usual app doesnt post my updates to the news feed....grrrr

This ^^^...and as soon as I swapped to Liberty ROM the first time, I made damn sure I didnt let FaceBook get a toe-hold on my contact list again. :icon_evil:

Its much easier to just download and use the FaceBook android app...:)

So if I root and switch to Liberty, is there a good chance I can make a near stock Android experience (no blur nonsense)?

Well, yes....thats basically what Liberty ROM is. Its completely Blurless, unless you decide to install some minimal Blur aspects such as the Camera(ASOP camera sux on the DX, IMHO), Blur Gallery and some other tid-bits.

Liberty is also decidedly faster than the Blurred UI, especially when paired with a 3rd party launcher like ADW or Launcher Pro Plus. Better battery life for the great majority of users, Liberty Toolbox app that has a ton of customization and theming options built-in and a kick-ass team of Devs who actually respond and take an active interest in the ROM.

Cruise over to the Liberty ROM forum and have a look at the ROM and read some of the threads going to get an idea of the ROM and whether it might fit your needs...:)

I use both, Facebook app and social networking that's on the x. Facebook doe's not access your contacts in the phone or Google contacts. Facebook contacts are added to your contacts, not your contacts being added to your Facebook contacts
