factory reset question

I was just wondering. If I do a factory reset, am I able to go into market and see the my apps list and reinstall which ones I want back on my phone or will they no longer be on the my app list? Im not rooted but was thinking of resetting just before I get gingerbread or does getting gingerbread automatically reset my phone?

When I flashed the TBH 2-part all my apps auto restored from the market, but I had auto update checked for e everything, too.
