Factory reset restore apps

To restore apps after Factory reset is there a way to recover like on iPhone, where the apps are syncd on itunes and will restore to reset phone on next sync?

You can move your apps to your sd card. Most of the time, the market will load them back up for me.

can i go to the app market and then save 'my apps' ?
Android Market Help says no

Your apps are linked to your google account. They'll still be there after a restore after you sync up your gmail.
